Invite Peter to Speak

Sample Speaking Topics

Mission Drift

Without careful attention faith-based organizations will inevitably drift from their founding purpose. It’s that simple. Slowly, silently, and with little fanfare, organizations routinely drift from their mission. Peter shares how to keep the organizations, schools, churches, and ministries you love on track.

The Spiritual Danger of Doing Good

Too often, we hear of good people doing good work who make very bad decisions. From making ministry your mistress to Christian karma, a number of hidden attitudes can derail Christian leaders. In an honest and personal style, Peter uses his own story to explore how we can overcome the most challenging struggle—the one within our hearts—in order to serve faithfully.

Created to Flourish: Celebrating Entrepreneurship

Christians are called by God to help those in poverty, and many are eager to answer that call. But how? This talk equips Christians with both a solid biblical and economic understanding of how best to care for the poor and foster sustainable economic development and human flourishing.

Kingdom-focused Fundraising

For many people, fundraising has become a dirty word. Conjuring images of guilt-inducing gimmickry, the predominant model saps the joy from both the donor and the receiver. But what if fundraising has the potential to be good for the giver, not just the receiver? Based upon The Giver and the Gift, Peter offers a relational approach to fundraising, replacing guilt and obligation with gratitude and joy.

Living on Mission

Just as mission drift is prevalent in organizations, it can run rampant in our own lives. What does it mean to live life on mission? How can we continue to pursue our purpose through discouragement and disillusionment? Based on his book, 40/40 Vision, Peter shares insights from the book of Ecclesiastes that help to anchor us, renew us, and propel us into meaningful mission and service.

Adoption and Foster Care

Caring for orphans is at the heart of Christ’s mission for the Church. Still, stepping out to defend the fatherless isn’t always comfortable or safe. Empowered by the Holy Spirit and motivated by the same wild love that once rescued us, we are called to—in different ways—love the most vulnerable in our society. Peter speaks from his own family’s experience with adoption, encouraging those who are pursuing a similar path.
